We serve Huntsville, Madison, Owens Cross Roads, Meridianville, and Hampton Cove, Alabama. Those are the only areas we cover right now. As a mobile, service-area business, we come to your property, and there’s no storefront to visit.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Olympic Mountain Landscaping is a licensed and insured LLC. That protects your property and gives you peace of mind that the crew working on your yard is covered and accountable.
Do you offer recurring service or one-time visits?
Both. Many customers choose recurring weekly or bi-weekly lawn care, while others book one-time projects like mulching, cleanup, hardscaping, or pressure washing. We’ll recommend the right fit for your property and budget.
Do you work with both residential and commercial properties?
Yes. We provide lawn care, landscaping, and outdoor services for residential homes and commercial properties anywhere in our service area. Let us know your property type when you request a quote and we’ll tailor a plan.
How do I get started?

When is the best time to start lawn care in North Alabama?
Any time is a good time to start. Spring and early summer are ideal for kicking off recurring mowing, a spring scalp, and core aeration, while fall is perfect for leaf cleanup, overseeding cool-season fescue, and preparing beds for winter. We’ll meet your lawn wherever it is in the season.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and card, along with common digital payments like Venmo and Zelle. Payment details are confirmed with your estimate so there are no surprises.

Basic Lawn Care
How often should I mow my lawn in Huntsville?
During the warm growing season, most Huntsville lawns benefit from weekly mowing because Bermuda and Zoysia grow fast in the heat. In spring, fall, and slower stretches, bi-weekly service is often enough. The goal is to never remove more than one-third of the blade in a single cut.
What is the best mowing height for my grass type?
It depends on your turf. Bermuda is usually kept short, Zoysia slightly higher, and Tall Fescue taller to handle North Alabama shade and summer heat. Cutting at the right height for your specific grass encourages deeper roots and a denser, more weed-resistant lawn.

Leaf Maintenance
When does leaf maintenance start in the Huntsville area?
Leaf drop around Huntsville usually picks up in October and runs into December, with oaks holding their leaves the longest. We switch your property from Basic Lawn Care to Leaf Maintenance when the leaves begin to fall and mowing slows down, then switch back when the lawn starts growing again in spring.
How often will you come out?
It depends on how many trees you have and how fast they drop. Some yards need a visit every week or two at the peak, while others only need a few visits all season. You can choose service as needed, on our recommendation, or whenever you request it.

Weed Spray
Where do you spray?
In flower beds and on hard surfaces. That covers mulched and planted beds, driveway and sidewalk cracks, patios, fence lines, and the areas around HVAC units and foundations. It is targeted treatment of the weeds themselves. Weed Spray is not applied to the lawn.
How often is weed spray needed?
Weeds grow fast through our long warm season, so many clients choose monthly service to stay ahead of them. If your property only has a few trouble spots, as-needed service may be enough. We will recommend a schedule after seeing the property.

Mulch Installation
How deep should mulch be in North Alabama beds?
Most North Alabama beds do best with 2 to 3 inches of mulch. That depth retains moisture through our hot, humid summers and suppresses weeds without smothering plant roots. Too little mulch lets weeds and sunlight through, while piling it deeper can trap excess moisture and hold heat against stems.
When is the best time to mulch in Huntsville?
Spring is the best time to mulch in Huntsville, ideally after the soil warms and you have cleaned up winter debris. A fresh spring layer holds moisture through summer heat and gives beds a clean start. A lighter fall refresh is also helpful to insulate roots and tidy beds heading into our mild winters.

Pressure Washing
How often should I pressure wash my house and concrete in North Alabama?
Most North Alabama homes benefit from pressure washing about once a year, with shaded or north-facing surfaces sometimes needing attention more often. Our humid, tree-covered climate encourages green and black growth on concrete and siding. An annual cleaning keeps surfaces from staining deeply and slipping into long-term buildup.
What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to clean hard, durable surfaces like concrete and brick, while soft washing uses low pressure with cleaning solutions to safely treat delicate surfaces. Siding, wood decks and fences are usually soft washed. Choosing the right method protects your surfaces while still removing algae and grime.
